Eye/Face Wash and Shower Units – Internal Drain
Units are designed for general laboratory applications. They are typically installed in laboratory
rooms or service corridors. Units have an internal drain connection within the stainless steel cabinet.
The eye/face wash drain is connected within the wall to the building drainage system.
Eye/Face Wash and Shower Units – Daylight Drain
Units drain through a port in the front face of the unit. Waste water from the eye/face wash drains
onto the floor in front of the unit. There units are used when it is preferable not to connect the
eye/face wash drain to the building drainage system.
Eye/Face and Shower Unit – Surface Mounted
Unit is surface mounted on the face of the wall rather than being recessed into the wall.
This unit is advantageous when mounting on a CMU or masonry wall, or where the unit
is being retrofitted into an existing building.
Eye/Face Wash and Shower Units – Fire-Rated – Internal Drain
Units are designed for installation on 1- or 2-hour fire-rated wall. The stainless steel cabinet
is itself fire-rated so that the unit maintains the integrity of the fire rating of the wall.
